TEEX and ISTC/BEST Complex
agree to Cooperative Learning Center
The Texas Engineering Extension Service’s
(TEEX) Emergency Services Training
Institute and Industrial Safety Training
Council’s (ISTC) Beaumont Emergency
Services Training Complex announced
a partnership today that allows ISTC/BEST
to teach several recognized National
Professional Qualification Standard,
or Pro Board, courses that are available
through TEEX accreditation.
The agreement will allow both training
entities to deliver courses at a regional
level. Targeted courses are those
delivered by TEEX in Industrial Firefighting,
Hazardous Material Response and Rescue. ISTC’s
BEST Complex offers professionally
trained instructors, realistic evolutions
and opportunities for different modes
of course delivery..
To ensure quality and accreditation,
TEEX will oversee the offered Pro Board
courses offered at the BEST complex. World
renowned for its hands-on, customized
training, the Texas Engineering Extension
Service offers a wide range of technical,
skills training programs. In
2006, TEEX provided training and technical
assistance to more than 221,500 people
from all 50 states, five U.S. territories,
the District of Columbia and 57 countries
through 6,000 classes conducted across
the nation and world.

Pro-Board Certified Courses to
be available in the first quarter
